Just wondering. When I lived in Detroit I always wire lined for walleye's in the morning with spoons and did really well. Now that I have Lake Huron's area north of the Blue water bridge and the St. Claire river system, hardly ever see anyone pulling wire in the morning daylight hours. You would think if the fish hit in the Detroit River they should hit in the St. Claire river too.:confused: Anyone got a theory for this?
I use to pull spoons up there during the day. As you thought, they worked well. Day light fishing is tough for me to come by.

So do you think spoons will work there during daylight at this time of year?
And since I have never fished the area, where is a good spot to start a run pulling wire?
Thanks rjt!:)
I haven't hand lined in the lower SCR in the day for a couple years. But I am remember the fish are in the North Channel near, or in the Sni at this time. The point by the north channel boat club (were the sni starts) always holds fish. The deep hole just upriver may be a holding fish during the day. There is also a white Spanish looking house across from Deckers. There is a hole in front of that house that holds fish. Actually that hole stretch has treated me well in past years.
Like I mentioned it has been a couple years since I have tried that area during the day, things could have changed but you wont know till you try.
