Had to post something on my son's first harvest! Could not be prouder, a 3 1/2 yr. old doe. Taken on the youth hunt weekend. The 2 best parts: he made the decision on his own, and we were able to get out of the woods with out being carried off by mosquitos!:D

Excellent! Congratulations to both of you - a hunt you'll undoubtedly both always remember.

When our kids become old enough to hunt and can share the same passions that we as hunters have, the parents have successfuly done their job. When our son or daughter harvest that first whitetail.......................PRICELESS!!!! Congrats to you and your son.:):):):)

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. He didnt have a problem with the blood at all. He was actually very interested as I explained what everything was on the insides! As interested as one can be while fighting off the mosquitos! And the rifle is a Winchester Model 94 in 30-30.
Thanks again everyone, and best of luck to you and yours this season!
