Rifleman and I picked up 6 walleyes jigging in the hole on Saturday. The biggest was about 4 lbs. Also picked up a 39" musky, a few bass and 2 sheep. All-in-all a very nice morning.

I am pretty sure we talked to you while we were out there. We were in the Red and While Champion Fishunter, with a 200 Merc. We started about 7am and quit jigging about 11:30. Our best action was between 8-9:30am. It should be good this weekend, unless we get high winds from the North to mess up the waters. Of course, you wire-pullers like it that way, right? :)

I jigged up one little one in the Windsor Channel that was a bleeder so I kept it. My son was practicing his jigging on sheephead.:yikes: We should have kept them for Mushy.

I picked up 3 jigging there on Monday morning. I probably could have got 3 more, but live bait was the ticket and I didn't go get it till about 9:30. If I would have just brought it out in the first place things would have been different I'm sure.

It has been a great boat. It is a 1995 model and I picked it up in 2000 from Steve Holt. Steve bought it from Mark Romanack. They are the same two who put out the Precision Trolling Series books, etc. In fact, some of his earlier publications have pictures of my boat in it. There are several pictures of it in "5 Roads to Walleye". It still feels a bit bizarre when I run into pictures of it.

If you want to talk about "small-world" stories; I am in sales and was working with one of my accounts. I had to travel to TN for a plant tour with a couple people from their MI HQ. It turns out that one of the guys is a big fisherman. We get to talking and amazingly, we both own the same boat. His is black and red, mine is white and red. Otherwise, almost identical.

Given how few of those actually exist in MI, I thought that was pretty ironic. We have since fished together several times.

Most of those Champs that I see have Marineers on the back. I don't see alot with the Mercury's. Nice boat. I wish they still made tham from that hull.
