Some of Y'all know that I stationed at Fort Polk, LA for a few years. You also know that hunting in those bayous, swamps and bottomlands present unique challenges
Just got a letter from my friend Boudreaux, telling me about his new business venture and asking for some advice. Seems he's decided to breed, raise and train a special type of retrievers, specifically for work along the coast. He's really proud of his work, because they're proving themselves capable of finding and picking up anything that walks, crawls or swims in the bayous.
His only problem, and the one he sought my advice on, is that he hasn't yet managed to get the retrievers to actually bring the game animals to him. He enclosed a pic of one of his retrievers during a training exercise. I've attached it below:
