MINERAL AND LAND MANAGEMENT

OIL AND GAS LEASE AUCTION: Oil and gas lease rights to 43,336.41 acres of state-owned minerals located in Alcona, Alpena, Antrim, Barry, Benzie, Charlevoix, Crawford, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Lake, Leelanau, Livingston, Manistee, Mason, Midland, Montmorency, Newaygo, Oceana, Ogemaw and Otsego counties are proposed to be offered at an oral auction, December 3, 2002. Lease terms will include five years with two, one-year options to renew, 1/6 royalty rate and a minimum of $13.00 per acre bonus consideration.
