Can you use the pink RV anti-freeze for your winterizing your IO motor?

i wouldn't ,,just use regular antifreeze , you can reuse it for years.

Do not use regular antifreeze.
You should be using either the -60 or -100 degree antifreeze. It has more (and necessary) corrosion inhibitors than standard antifreeze. The pink stuff is meant for water systems... not motors.

Considering that raw water from the lake/river contains no corrosion inhibitors I disagree you.
Read the label on the non-tox bottle you can use some in motors.
I have been using -100 deg Non-Tox undiluted for my I/O since I bought the boat new in 1999 without any problems. When you drain there is a small amount of water that you cannot drain. By adding the -100 you are more than safe when it comes to freezing.
Corrosion is more of an issue if you were not to refill with coolant.

Well, I neglected to add the "non-toxic" part... which is exactly what I sell by the case every day here at the store. I litterally have cases and cases of it stacked up not 10 feet from where I'm standing. Pink = water systems, it has almost no corrosion inhibitors in it. The purple -60 is good for boats stored indoors heated or not, and the green -100 is recommended for boats stored outdoors. Believe it or not boats and motors suffer from windchill when stored outdoors.
Standard auto antifreeze is not intended to be used to "store" vehicles over long periods of non-use.
Also, everything we sell is virgin anti-freeze. The pink stuff you buy at lowes/home depot etc... is recycled.. much of it from airports after they de-ice the wings of planes at the terminal.

Waterfoul,
With all due respect I disagree. Camco makes a pink -100 Non-Toxic that can be used in Engine Blocks:

The non -100 RV non-tox I used in my IO is pink. I believe I even bought it at the Taylor Michigan West Marine. :)

Waterfoul is right, -50° is meant for your water system. I have never seen one that has a rust inhibitor.
There is a bunch of companies that sell -100° storage anti-freeze. This yr I used Starbrite. Just make sure whatever you buy has a rust inhibitor. For the few extra bucks, why wouldn't you? I only have to winterize my heat exchanger and exhaust manifolds, so I don't use too much. I drain the water from them and mix (2) -100's and (1) -60°. There, I saved a few bucks and still got the good rust protection.

If you bought it in the last 2 years at the Taylor store... I can gaurantee it wasn't pink AND -100. But no big deal.

You figure you will have some water left in the system mix it with water and your -50 is -25 or -35. -50 people use, but I wouldn't. We use the Blue -100 to be safe. If anyone needs affordable shrink wrapping or Winterization in the Livingston, Okaland areas, call 517-548-6778
