Anyone ever been here? Can you launch a boat? I appreciate any feedback, thanks :)

Are you talking about the Kawkawlin flooding in Midland County? It has been awhile since I have been in there, you can launch a boat (aluminum, no launch) but you can't really go anywhere. Too shallow, too much timber, weeds, etc. If you are duck hunting, it is a tough place to get out into. But, I haven't been there in awhile.

I have hunted it many times. I have only trekked to the water 1 time. I did it from the east side. Im not familiar with the west side or south side. That year there was open water but access would be tough from the side I was on. I've noticed hunting the swamps in this area it seems the water table is different every year. I think thats the key. But the other person was right. I'm guessing its shallow most the time.

I tried last year there, got out a few times, not much room and it is very shallow. A few birds, but the drive to shiawassee was always a much better option.
