Its amazing how nasty people can be, not only do we have to pick up trash along the river from these pigs but they are so lazy they can't even wander into the woods to crap. Grant it the out houses at the Dam (Foote) can get pretty nasty but they don't need to **** where people walk. Someone took a dump at the top of the handicap ramp (on the cement) and by the bench below the apple tree. The real circus has yet to start and already it's getting nasty down there, line, beer cans, liquor bottles, you name it, it's everywhere. I can't wait til the Salmon run (and I use that term loosely) is over, BRING ON THE WINTER STEEL!!!!:coolgleam

Watched a group of guys the other day that had a pod of fish in front of them, they were trying there damnedest to snag one, kinda reminded me of that Carnival game where everyone stands around those Coke bottles throwing those little rings. If they would put half that effort into fishing legal they would have twice as many hook-ups. I just said excuse me each time I went by fighting my fish. ;) They never did hook any, the fish got tired of the loud ker-plunk sounds all around them and dropped back down to the dark water and once those guys couldn't see them anymore they left.

I watched a dude saturday that was casting into the little waterfall under the dam with what looked to be a treble with a splitshot slightly above it. It just looked kinda fishy :16suspect....... He was taking a pic of a fish when i walked down the ramp, i asked him how many he had got that morning and he said that he had a couple on and only got the one, but after fishing down the railing from him for nearly an hour and watching him, he didn't hook into another fish. Go figure.... But i understand what your saying about salmon season. With all the bull**** that goes on during the frenzy, it does get old after a while

I used to fish the dam with my Dad for years, most times we don't bother stopping by there anymore just to many nut jobs. Want the fish ya gotta be willing to hike a little;) at least thats what the old man taught me!

The dam is still nothing like it was 5 years ago, hardly any people, unless this year is different. Most people that show up for salmon on that river head right to the gravel.....

We used to stop there during the fall for a laugh. Watching all the people "not snagging";);) and watching other people slipping around stealing fish from those that had put them on shore instead of a stringer.. Used to be quite a few fights every weekend..Also watched DNR hide in the woods on the other side of the dam, with binoculars, and bust the "non-snaggers" ;);) on the opposite side..Another officer would come down and hold his hand over each and every "fisherman" and would get a yeah or nay over the radio...man were some of those "fisherman" pissed...

every time I've been to the river this year I've picked up something, weather it be worm containers, yards of mono, cans, lure wrappers, you name it. At least i never go home empty handed:lol:
