If it was kept where little bugs could get in, blow out the fuel line. They could have made a nest in there. Is you tank full? Got gas?

sounds like its the knock down sensor. I had the same problem with the one I bought. Luckily, I only had it for a week. I took mine back to where I bought it and they replaced it. I'm pretty positive you can bypass the sensor if you have to. I think they have a schematic on the web site. Good luck!

i had the same problem... turns out i forgot how to light it.
i was turning it on high and holding it down... turns out you need to hold it on pilot and hold it down.
it seems obvious but it's better to rule out the obvious before you throw it away or spend money trying to fix something that's not broken...

last winter mine would not light unless i used a lighter and held it there for a few seconds. You could see the ignitor sparking but still had to use the lighter.

I had the same problem. Send an email to the manufacturer.
They will send you instructions on how to disassemble the unit and
clean the lines out. The problem is use of propane from bulk tanks with no filter. The bulk tanks are dirty and have oil in them. This clogs the fuel line. They have a filter you can use. Buy the filter from them, I think it is $10 but worth it. Ever since I started using the filter with bulk tanks I have had no issues.

fishbum is exactly right. mine left me heatless a couple of times when i was on trips and needed it most. tore it apart a few times, cleaned lines and messed with the pilot light but it would just quit working. bought a new one and the clerk asked if i wanted a filter. he told me they are designed to run on the 1 lb. tanks and if using a bulk tank you must run a filter. been using both heaters for a couple of years now with no problems

Mine was kept in the garage. Tiny bugs found a home in there. Cleaned it outand it been good since. Now its kept in a sealed container.

After reading about the heaters that won't light, figured I'd better check mine. It is kept in the original box all nice and snug. Put on the filter, attached the hose to my propane tank and cranked er up.Wouldn't lite. Tried it with different tank, still no go. Attached filter and hose to small Bar-b-q, Bar bq wouldn't lite. Put one pound cannister on heater, after going through lighting process, it lit. After all said and done, the culprit was the filter. Just bought it last year. When I go for another, going to ask if these things only last one year. The filter may not have been your problem, but it was mine.

I just put a filter on mine last month. Can't remember if it was in the instructions on the heater or the filter , but I do remember it saying to replace the filter every year.

ONE MAJOR PROBLEM that most people don't know is that leaving your hose connected to the heater and propane tank. if you do this the propane will break down the chemical structure of the rubber hose and clog the unit when turned on the next time or 2. a filter will only prevent this from happening for a short period of time due to the size of the particulate (microns)if this is your situation its time for a teardown and complete cleaning. as mentioned before try to light the unit with a lighter if it fires your major problem is solved. if you have a filter on it take it off and try the lighter again then hand held lighter.
