Looking to accessorize my 4' X 8' ice shanty with lights and notice Cabelas has boat dome lights that have 12-light LED's. Would these lights be bright enough to light up my shanty and how many would I need to light it enough to do any activities in it (tie on hooks, etc.) ? Thanx..Mike

12-light LED should be plenty of light. You may want to consider using 3 or 4 smaller ones. Just one light, even a bright one, leaves alot in the shadows. For boat lights, I find a much larger selection, and lower prices, by shopping automotive suppliers.

Miike - Check out rope lights. Inexpensive, can make them up for Your application - differant color options. A Buddy made-up a set up for His Fishtrap. He used red colored lights (Doesn't hurt night vision) - low amp drain (LED), ran them off the same 12v as his Vexilar. C-man

I have some round puck like lights with 3 LEDs in them. The have a sticky surface on the back and use 3 triple As. You just push the front of the light to turn them on or off. Mine were in a two pack for about $10. These would work well in a shanty. I purchase mine at Menard's.:) I had one in the back of my pickup so I could see when I opened the topper and tailgate.
