I am head over to the Bay City/Saginaw area for a few days next week, and I am looking to get some ideas of places to fish...

I am open to pretty much anything- I am primarily a salmon/trout kind of person, but I like to fish bass, walleye, or pretty much anything with gills. I probably am looking to fish from shore or docks somewhere, not enough time to take the boat.

Not looking for hotspots, just a general idea of where to go to get some fishing time in for a couple of hours, so any suggestions would be appreciated!

If I were you, I would fish for carp. Great fighting fish, and you are not going to eat anything out of that river anyway! Try a two ounce sinker and sweet corn anywhere on the river and you will probably have some luck.

Another fun hard fighting fish that is abundant is small mouths. I would fish for those anywhere from the zilwaukee to the mouth with either crankbaits, jigs, or live bait. Good luck.
