These loads are from the Nosler Loading Manual I have. SAAMI cartridge over all length has been set at 3.150" for the 6.5X55 Swede. This cartridge was developed in 1894 for the model 1894 Swedish Mauser. It was also chambered in the Norwegian Krag-Jorgenson. It is still a very popular cartridge in Sweden where it is used on game up to Moose in size and for target shooting.

Looks good so far Allen. Have you considered adding a few lines in terms of historical data, along with the loading spec's?

Mike, yes I do plan on adding those items in. Right now I am just trying to see how the data is going to look and see what has to be changed. May need some help from the webmaster on how to get this to fit in line properly

Good luck on your new project...you may find that it is more work than you figured it would be.

I really like the 6.5x55 as a deer load. I have had good luck with the Hornady 129 gr. bullets, even when I needed a fair bit of penetration. I think this is a far better cartridge than the .243 for everything over 75 pounds or so. A very under appreciated beginner/small person/recoil sensitive shooter option.
