I have been using Butcher and Packer (http://www.butcher-packer.com/) for my seasoning kits, but recently bought a #32 meat grinder from them and am pleased. I made a 25lb batch of snack sticks and they are a hit.

Shopping around is important with this kind of stuff and Cabelas also has a 30lb kit for $13.99 compared to Butcher&Packer's $20, but for their individual seasoning kits you can't beat it. Their individual seaonings tend to be around $5 and I am gonna share a secret with you guys. Last year I won a rib contest using their premixed seasoning as the rub--it was called Maple Flavored Pork Sausage kit and cost $3...

Banditto,

Haven't heard from you in a while.

Butcher and Packer is an excellent source of supplies for processing game meat. Certainly, some of their prices may be slightly higher than from another supplier - but then, some will be lower. My main concern is consistancy of quality and/or freshness. I have been very satisfied with the quality and freshness of anything purchased from B&P. Can't say the same for some other sources.

SS, I know it has been a long time. I have been busy... busy raising my babies. That is where I am at in my life right now--up to my ears in dirty diapers. But I love every minute of it. Just had my second a month ago, already nagging my wife for a third, but she is not going for it... alas I will keep at it!

One of the reasons I like B&P is they are in Detroits Eastern Market. And I know it isn't close for most of you, but I am 15 minutes away from there. They have everything under the sun and I was surprised that they would even sell to me, being they are pretty much a commercial supplier for meat markets.

Not as cheap as some, but being they are MI owned and operated I will spend my money there rather than somewhere else...

Good to talk to you again.
