Best investment I have ever made!!!!!! I was sceptical until the first time I used it and was never bit or even noticed a mosquito while on stand. BTW this stand was in an area where there was standing water/very swampy if it even drizzled!
Never had a deer spook because of it, best I can tell.
Hope this helps

One of the best purchases you will make. Great for early spring turkey hunting also. Mine actually fell out of the canoe earlier this summer. Picked it up about 150 yards downstream, dried it out and fired it up. Still works perfect. It will surely be in my backback when I head into the woods for early fall deer hunting. Go get one!!

I love my Thermacell. It's kept me bite free while fishing, hunting, hiking, and kayaking.
I plan on taking it with me bowhunting in a couple of weeks. I have one question for the bowhunters though, do you use the scent-free or the earth-scent?

Two nights ago I hunted in a pop-up blind and the mosquitoes were all over me. Last night I fired up the Therma Cell and I did not even see or hear one buzzing around me. I also had 5 deer within 12 yds of the ground blind and they did not react at all.

One of the best inventions ever. Hunted Oceola turkey's down in bug heaven (central Florida) and did not get touched by one bug. The thing is unbelievable.

buy some extra refills and pads too. They can get kinda hard to come by around this time of the year. I usually try to stock up on the refills in the "off season."

I bought one last spring after reading the reviews. Spring summer had me to busy to get out much. I finally used mine tonight and was absolutely amazed.
I had skeeters and gnats all around me when I sat down. Fired up the magic machine and within 3-4 mins they were all gone and I did not have another one the rest of the night. Absolutely amazing product.
Do yourself a favor and get one. You will not be disappointed.

My dad just bought one and I was quick to say that it wasnt going to work but it definitely was a difference maker at least for gnats. I would recommend getting one if you are interested.

How long do batteries and refills last?

the propane cell runs about three scent pads, they claim about 8 hours each pad, as long as the pad has color it will work, I like mine but i used it inside amostly enclosed blind and it almost smoked me out,, no bugs in blind either.

I just bought one to use on my boat while duck/goose hunting. I have a blind that goes over the boat and the bugs can get pretty bad inside, especially if you try and take a nap. Based on what everyone says, I should be bug free next time out.

If 1 cell works for 3 pads, Can you buy the pads separetly? Or is there any need of that. I read some where that the fuel cells for the cordless curling irons sell cheaper than those marketed for the Themacell. Always lookin to save a buck.

How do you lay your Thermacell ? Do you lay it down facing upwards or do you hang it from something ? Just curious. Mike

pads come in a three pack with one propane cell, or a 3/9 bulk pack., I lay mine down face up most of the time, I also hung it around my belt when I was in swamp in JULY removing pesky beavers under DNR permit w/12 ga. it saved me alot of agony in the swamp,, just let it warm up on the way into the woods that time of the year. It doesnt work well in wind of course but then skeeters also have trouble in the wind,, and that remids me to go tosss it in the hunting box for this weekend in case it warms up,,,, I came back atfer july and bought a bulk pack 3 cells, nine pads,,,

I lay mine face up on the base of my stand as far back as it will go so I wont kick it (stand is a ladder with a large platform). That way the repellant rises and kind of forms an envelope around me (probably giving me some weird diesease though, LOL) but it seems to work well.
