I have attempted to contact the DWF for membership info twice with letters and once with email or telephone (cant remember but the number or address was inactive). Does anyone know if they are still active? Could you recommend an alternative local club that focuses on walleye.
thank you
Ron

Ergoman,

Yes the DWF is still active, not only is it active it's growing in numbers. Could possibly be the best all around outdoors club I've been involved with. Meetings are the 3rd monday of the month, that means tonight there is a meeting. The DWF has a website, www.dwfonline.com for further info check there. If you need anything else there are a few guys on the site that are members too. I believe, Perchjecker, Homer, and myself just to name a couple and I believe there are more....hope this helps.

Walleyeman is bang-on, it's a well-organized club with a lot of great people.

Hey, Dave, there's a good chance I'm going to have to work late tonight and miss the meeting. Let me know what I missed.

No problem Dave, I'll post something when we get home.

Well, we had good intentions about going to the meeting tonight but we got side tracked on the way and stopped at southgate ford on the way and left there with an empty wallet.....I guess we'll have to check the website to see what went on......

I again went to the website and found the email address is not accessible, (possibly its only my local service provider). The address listed is where the previous two letters have been sent. Does anyone have a name or number that I could contact?
Thanks again--this is by far the most helpful site on the net.
Ron

I just sent a test e-mail to dwf@dwfonline.com and it didn't bounce back, so the problem could be with your service provider. If you're interested in joining, my advice would be to attend the next meeting (address and time at the web site) and see first-hand what's going on. If you do plan on attending a meeting, post a message here or at walleyecentral.com letting people know that you are a first-timer, and you'll be made to feel more than welcome.

Ron:

The e-mail address is indeed working, because I got a response from Mike Barkley last night to the test e-mail I sent. He made a good point, if you want to join before the next meeting, there is a membership form that you can print from the Web page (it is a link near the top of the Home page) and mail in. Let me know if you need any additional information.
