Good catch! What length Nightstalker have you been using. I've got some about 6" long, and a few that are maybe 4 inches. Got any tips for us mere mortals?

Have fished that area, but only a few times. After we moved from Detroit, started fishing the Marine City area, N. of Fawn Island, there is a sand bar, up and down the bank into the channel, caught some walleyes that were so ugly had to throw them back, monsters lurk in that area.
Spring time, near the Edison plant, draggen some wire is some fun, damn I miss it. Never know what you may catch?
Ever taken a 15-20 pound Muskie on wire?
What a riot!
Still have the boat to do it, now I am addicted to perch:p

Hey Guys, Try the area around Stag Island (Marine City) with wire or jigging at night. Dick is right, the walleye are awesome but watch out for the Freighters at night as they will be on top of you as you can't see or hear them coming down/up river.

Thanks Baitrunner and Dick, I have never pulled any wire and drifted only a few times. I like knowing I have a fish on when they hit while whipping, jerking or what ever they call it. (Used to be called chugging years ago.) We get big Walleye from time to time but mostly good eaters and the occasional Steelhead or Salmon. Might have to give the handlining thing a try sometime..........................Bob B.

Hey Bob B,
Real nice catch you got there! There is no better fishing then what we have here in our own back yard (North Channel & LSC).
A good friend of mine filled up a 5 gallon bucket of Perch today right of of Metro Beach in 11 ft of water. I saw the fish and they were all 9" and larger - not to bad considering he and his 7 yr son did the job in 2 1/2 hours.
LOL, Bobby

I haven't done any perch fishing in a couple years. Didn't do any good at all so I just stick with the Walleye. I only fish once a week so I choose to fish for Walleye.
I'm planning on a Sunday night fishing trip this weekend .........Bob B.

Ok Slick, how did you find out my secret of the net? The other GUYZ are right! You really are EVIL aren't you? Nighteyes decided he would rather get up in the morning and play (work) all day then go out and work on putting a few Walleye in the cooler. And as far as lipping the Salmon, it's kids play, if you don't believe me you can ask this guy. (cya Friday).........Bob B. :D :D

Never thought I would say this in my life. It was too nice to fish today. Started out off the 400 club, nothing, moved S.W. to Masonic, nothing. Then we made the big run S.E. of the Bassett, 19 feet of water, a grand total of 5 perch for the effort, we started at the crack of noon.
The lake was flat as glass, lost a mudder, still have not figured this one out. It was so calm, we pulled the anchor and drifited for about 30 minutes and moved maybe 100 yards from our marker. Great weather, bad fishing!
Bob-O have a project in the morning, meeting at the club at 10:00 A.M. will try to get E. Thomas's Tollycraft off the sand bar behind his house.
The only thing that I accomplished this weekend, closed 3 loans on Friday, my bride of 36 years got a fairly new van, and replaced every freaking window, doorwall, bay window, etc. in our house. Now I am broke, have no fish and my wife is pissed because I took my window guys out fishing on her birthday. Oh well sh$t happens.
Over & Out!;)

Roger that Bob-O, we will jerk that bad boy off the bottom in a heart beat. Just hung up with Jr., can use his Power Wagon and some ropes and pull it West across the canal and let him go!
10:00 A.M., will also use Cat-O-Lac's Whaler.
