One of the two candidates had a convention with a theme of Country First, the other had a theme of Change we Can Believe In.
As of this morning while visiting each candidates web site it appears one candidate has put himself first and his country second while the other is truly putting his country first.

Thanks Rich, good to see they are both now trying to help with the aftermath of Ike.

Sadly neither candidate has anything really to campaign on at this point. When you waste your time and money making ads about lipstick and email it tells me you have nothing to offer. At this point neither is getting my vote. What a total joke. I agree with Obama that Lipstickgate was nothing but phony outrage from the McCain camp. And as for Obama's latest ad, am I really supposed to be the least bit concerned that a 72 year old man does not know how to email? We have gone way beyond stupid.

Yeah and I am sure he just woke up this morning and said "hmmmm, let me go check out the candidates websites and see if they both reference Hurricane Ike relief efforts."

I could care less about their posturing. The idea that they should stop what they're doing to do nothing about something they have no control of is rather superficial and pretty stupid.
It's good to see that Texas has state leaders capable of both independent action and coordination with the federal government.
