Thanks

You might want to give Gull Lake a shot. We have been doing really well there since the first of the month. Have to do a little moving around to keep away from the little ones, but there are a lot of good size (7 1/2 to 10 inch) gills to be caught out there. We have had our best luck just off the "hogsback" in 30 to 40 FOW, fishing just a foot or two off bottom. This is about half way down the lake to the south from the launch ramp, and about in the middle on E to W axis. There will probably be other boats fishing there. Wax worms and crickets have done the job for us. Good luck and maybe we'll see you out there, though we are going walleye fishing this coming week, but we'll be back out there the following week.

I have heard about Gull Lake on another site. Can you tell me where it is located? Thanks!

The Gull Lake is located I referred to is located NE of Kalamazoo. If you were to take M-43 East and North out of Kalamazoo the lake is on the south side of the road about 10 or 12 miles out of Kalamazoo. You would be looking for the Prairieville Township Park and launch ramp. There will be no one at the gate but there is a $6 honor launch fee envelope there. Good ramps, restroom facilities and good fishing. Big lake, about 4 1/2 miles long and a mile wide or so.

Good luck if you get up that way.

Duane.
