My bowstring serving has started slipping, which changes my nock point and messes up my tuning and accuracy. I have a zebra twist string (black and yellow) on my bow and had shot it through the summer without any problems. Just this week, I noticed that the serving started sliding up the string when I shoot a dozen arrows or so. I have a string loop on it and tried to attach a nockset above the string loop, which didn't seem to help. I bought a heavier duty nockset and really pinched it on. I also superglued the top of the serving. This seems to have worked, but I would appreciate any advice from people who have also experienced this problem. By the way, I contacted a tech from the factory and he was not able to give me any remedies.

TS,

I had a similar problem this year as well. My serving where my release attaches started loosening a day or two before the season started. I did not want to have a new serving put on due to the fact that I would have to resight my bow. I took some flat dental floss, wrapped it around my serving (about an inch and a half long) where my release attaches and put a dab of super glue on the ends. It's holding up very well I would say. I still practice shooting with it on and even shot a doe opening weekend with the dental floss on the string. I will definitely get a new serving put on after the season.

Good Luck!!

Yeah, I would recommend the same thing. The last thing you want is the serving to slip down alot and then throw everything off. I might try doing the same at both ends of the serving too.

Not trying to be a know-it-all, but I was told that if for some reason the serving was put on in the opposite direction of the twist in the string it will loosen up on you. A freind owns an archery shop told me that sometimes they come from the factory like that. Hope it helps...........Matt

This work for me. If you have slippage try putting a piece of serving in the string then reserve over top of it. Also double nok too. Set the noks oppisite of each other........marty:D
