I have hunted HAP property before. The place I hunted was ran pretty loosely. Seemed like you were on regular public land. Way over crowded and I didn't feel comfortable out there.

I talked to the land owner, he says his property is to big for him to control. The people that do it properly sign in and take there tag. But a lot of people park on back roads and walk in from the backside of the property.

I have a Summit Open shot that weighs about 14 lb. It was $ 200.00 .Nice light climber for the money.

There is a small HAP property in Lenawee not very big.

In Hillsdale County there are more properties.

Being in Jackson County I would go out to Sharonville state game area. It is out by Grass Lake. There is a lot of acreage and if you know the back roads you will find some nice honey holes.

It sounds like money is an issue. Check out www.sportsmansguide.com

They have a decent climber for $75. I bought the same one a couple years ago. It's a little bit heavy, but it works, and for the money it's not bad.

Im at 227 AND LIBERTY was also looking at Private for public but was scared off by number of cars at chosen site. Went instead to Somerset State and went about a mile back in thick stuff.

No problem man, I will show you the areas I had good luck with. Since then I have obtained access to privateland to hunt.
