Dude, there's a LOT of good spots around your place. Any park on Belleville or Ford Lake will have some good swims. The swim by Ford Lake dam is really good, but I wouldn't go there alone. It's pretty hard to access the better swim, and if you get hurt, you're outta luck.
Saline has some nice carp in the mill pond too.

I'm planning on hitting Ford Lake for some carp in October. They'll be fattening up on protein baits then. I'll PM you when I'm headed there.

I fished the ford lake dam downstream side saturday and sunday I have a small plastic boat I take up there . I caught a 26" catfish fish and lost two other big ones on saturday and sunday I caught another cat just as big and 6 carp that were 30 plus inches. I threw them all back but it's a hell of a lot of fun catching them

PM sent. The Lake has lots of fish in the mid teens. I get a 20 every couple trips too. My largest is 24, but the original CAG (Carp Anglers Group) record came from Ford (36 or so lbs).
