Gaylord Area?

I'm heading to Indian River/Gaylord this weekend for a weekend of golf. Any suggestions for squeezing in some trout fishing too? I'd prefer to flyfish, but my cousin may tag along and he's a beginner.

You are close to the upper Manistee and the Au Sable. I would go to either of those. Also there are some other smaller creeks/rivers closer to Gaylord. Just get out a county atlas and check it out!
