In the past week or two I have made a mind change in my fishing pursuits. I live by Lk Erie and I think over the past years I have landed every Walleye in the lake twice, I am just tired of the walleye, fine fish, good all the way around, but I am just tired of them. Then when on my sales route I stopped in at Al and Bobs sport shop in the Lansing area. My god have you seen the Bluegill they have mounted like a 4 or 5 pounder, they say it is real. Well that is what I want, tell me where I may find something like that, what time of year would be best for a fish like that. I am taking a camera in there next time and beg them to take a photo of me holding that fish, cripes. I have a cabin to use up north around Glennie, any tips from you guys.

If you want a bluegill like that you may have to travel way south like maybe the carolinas. Not sure but i believe it was south carolina an old timer caught a few giant "shell crackers" that size. But for michigan you might be lucky enough to get a brute at 11" or 12". Forget what the state record is, something like 14"?
