Did a 3 man charter this morning for walleyes. Had 30 fish by noon with none under 25 inches.5 of the Eyes were over 29 inchs.Trolled with spoons and ReefRunners cranks. This is the time to get up there if you want a true trophy Eye for the wall.

Hi Capt'n Dwayne,
We are going to be back over to Huron on the 22nd and fish through Thursday the 24th, weather permitting. Are you going to be in the area during that time. The fish you are getting, are they up in the water column yet? How far back are you running the Reef Runners? And where is the best direction to start fishing now? Your information is appreciated and has been right on the money in the past. Thanks again.

Hi Duane,
Most of the fish are still 25 ft or deeper in 47 ft of water.Reefrunners 175 ft back has been working pulling some fish. Most of the fish are being taken with spoons set to fish 25-30 ft down. The best fishing is taken place out in front of Vermilion.I fun fished yesterday with a friend and we got 6 fish .The smallest went 6.4 with 2 of them over 11lbs. Fishing was slow for us due to the 4-6 waves that we had. With the water cooling down ,I would still run a feeler crankbait up hi(5-10ft below the surface) .I will not be back up there until Friday. The best gps numbers have been the 33 23 lines.
Good Luck

Duane ,Make sure you check out the weather before you go . As of today they are calling for NE winds for pretty much all week. If you do go, the fish have seemed to move west towards Huron. We fished to day at the 30 28 lines and did really well with lots of big fish. There were also good fish taken at the 28 28 lines. The bite now seems to be headed towards more of a crank bite than a spoon bite. Our best lures today were Reefrunners at 40-65 ft back. Color didn`t seem to matter much as we caught fish on 5 different colors .

Hi Capt'n Dwayne,
We got on the lake out of Huron about 1:30 PM on Tuesday. Great weather when we got out there. Most boats were fishing the 28/28 lines, a big pack, so we joined the crowd. Had one fish on while we were setting lines and lost him at the net. Really felt bad when that was the last hit we had the rest of the day. Lots of people catching fish it seemed, but we just could not get them going. Tried about everything. The wind switched to the north about 3:30 PM and started blowing pretty hard so we quit about 5:30. Hoped to get out the next day but it was far to rough for us in a 19' boat. Sounded like Thursday was going to be more of the same, so we packed up and headed home. If we get a weather report that looks good for a few days we will be back. Great port to fish out of.
Thanks for all your help.
Duane
