anyone know where I can rent a pontoon on houghton lake for today for a decent price. Just 4 adults deciding to make a run up for today and hoping to find one available that I may be able to get my wife in a wheel chair on. thanks for any help, hopefully will be leaving Bay City by 10 a.m.....Ralph

Ralph, give Lymans a call, http://www.houghtonlakefishing.com/Lymansstore/lymansstore.html I don't know if he rents them, but he would probably know who does. He as good bait too.

Thanks for info, I called and he had 2 left, but doors were too narrow since they're older pontoons. I think we're going to wait since its going to be later in day by the time we get there now. Must be plenty of people going north even with gas prices, everywhere else I called are all out. Thanks again for the help, this site and the people have really been helpful when I can't find something elsewhere.

Ralph, did you try L&G boat rental? The orange place with the lighthouse right around the corner from Lyman's. #989/422-5712
Also I know Korbinski's rents pontoons and does Zager's Sportsman Resort.

yep, called about 6 or 8 different places including L&G, everyone is all out, I have things to get done around here now anyway, will maybe go in Sept. away from holiday weekend. Thanks everyone.

If you do go in Sep I would recomend L&G. Seventy five bucks for the day and they are nice pontoons, nice people there too.
