I just returned from being on vacation. My wife and I took a chance on a little lake we happen to stumble across, stayed there for 4 days, and it was the best time we ever had fishing. The panfish, especially gills, were almost jumping in the boat. We caught between 75-100 and kept 30 for a nice fish fry at home. Did I mention there was not a single jet ski to spray us or nearly run into us? There was a marsh with abundant wildlife, loons and ducks kept us company, and there was peace and quiet beyond belief. Oh yes, no jet skis (wow, I said that already), no skiers, no tubers, no power boats--just fishermen. Our homemade spinners and slip bobber rigs were phenominal. A fish on nearly every cast. The moral of the story--do not overlook little out of the way places that are not name sites! No, I will take the name of this spot to my grave and yes, I have made reservations for next year.:D
