Where are the panfish bitting?

:confused: I would like to do some fishing this Labor Day weekend and would like to target panfish. I am from the thumb and have a 12' boat. I don't mind driving for some good fishing. Due to wind I haven't been able to go out on the bay for walleye's so I will focus on smaller inland lakes for panfish with the kids.

Please specify lake, best time of day, and presentations if possible.
