Two of us caught 58 perch in 47 feet of water out from AuGres.
37 of the perch were over 10 inches with the biggest being 13 1/2 inches. Some real hogs! Long waits between fish. Fished from 12:00 noon until 6:00pm.

Magnet, thanks for the report. I'm headed to Tawas on the 20th and hope the weather cooperates so I can take my dad out perch fishing. I would assume 47 fow is past the shipping channel.

Nice to here there are some nice perch to be had.We fished the augres river sat. Caught a bunch of 5-6"perch&about 2 dozen small bass.1 king about 10#on a cleo. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks we will try the bay up there.

We fished out of Northport. About 5 1/2 miles out. Somewhat between Gravelly Shoals light house and Pt. AuGres. It should be about the same from the river mouth. Alot of boats fishing in 30-35 feet of water but it sounded like they weren't doing real well.
