Lake Erie 10/13 to 10/20

Fished off Stoney Point 10/12 from 10am to 12:30. Started slow but became more active. Kept 26 from 7 to 9. Nice calm day. Had to leave while they were biting. Bummer!

We fished from E-buoy to Toledo light to McDonalds, water was pretty dirty and fishing was slow. A few boats did okay, we ended up with about the same, 25 or so, I skipped out on cleaning ;) as I had an appointment.

After duck hunting last weekend we took a trip to the Lake Erie. Hit one of the deep water marina's off the mouth of the Maumee River. Caught 5 bass over 5 lbs in just a couple hours. Many smaller one,s. The water was full of shad and bass. You could not throw a spinner bait in a boat well without getting a bite. It has to be the best bass fishing of the year. They are stacked in the deep water near shore. Makes for good duck scouting also.
