SC Smallmouth

I am looking for some "general" areas to find smallmouth in SC. Not looking for the waypoint of someones golden spot :D

In our smallboat we cannot cover much area so we do not even know where to start.

Is Anchor bay worth digging around for SM or we are better off launching down in the main lake?
