I'm looking into getting my daughter a toy bow and arrow set for her to start shooting. She has a very very small bow with plastic arrows that have suction cups and the ends that is not worth the dollar that was spent on it . She's showing a great intrest shooting with the one she has but I would like to teach her on a bow that is more like the real deal.
I would like to upgrade.
Any of your thoughts would be great.
Thanks

I bought a toy compound bow for my three year old saughter from Gander Mountain. I thought it was a joke but it really works I actually bought two light carbon arrows for her to shoot and it works perfect for the age. It reall doesnt have alot of enery in fact it wont even penetrate my bag target, but it gets her to learn the basics of shooting and getting the form started. The bow was only $15.00. Like I said for the age it is perfect. I figure in a couple of years see will be ready for a Genisis.
I have found that the nurf bows are way more fun for the kids than the cheap compounds. From 4-6 yrs old they can not hardly pull enough poundage to make the arrow fly very far. I don't know about girls but I have put 2 boys through this and they just got mad because they could not hit the bulls eye every time. From my experience 6-7 was a better age to start shooting and teaching correct form.
Just an opion so don't come unglued on me!!!!!

My three year old has a mini genisis. Little bit of guidance he does awsome! Not cheap though...$200.00 for the bow, arrows and a hip quiver.
