Out of the lakes you've mentioned are any of these good panfishing lakes??? I have never tried Alderman or Teeple and would like to know how to get to the public launch. Feel free to PM me.

Two other lakes to consider in the area would be Proud lake or Long lake both have public launches and both are on the smaller side. I've been to Proud lake a few times this year and enjoy the fact that there are virtually no houses on the south west side of the lake. The lake strings off in a few different directions and a first timer could spend ours searching out a fishing spot but it seemed almost everywhere we set down anchor we pulled up fish-mostly dinky bass and gills
Long lake is a great lake and very weedy, but it will fill up fast on the weekends. I'm not too into bass, but I've caught a few decent ones out there and you'll get the occasional pike to break off a line or two at the boat.

I've never been to cresent lake in waterford so I couldn't tell you anything informative about it, but I belive there is a public launch and the lake looks to be on the smaller side as well.

Cresent Lake used to have alot of bass and pike, but I think it got fished out. Union Lake has some big bass and pike, and I believe it's stocked with walleye, but it gets crowded sometimes. Pontiac lake is close to you, and there's some big bass in there if you stick to the swampy backwaters away from the waterskiiers. There's also some good fishing in the 7 Lakes State Park in Holly. It's pretty weedy this time of year, but the fish are there.

Did big seven recover from the broken dam last summer? The water was so low that you could walk across the flats so I was worried there would be a die off.

The only reason to bother with alderman would be for gills and perch. I don't think there's anything in that lake bigger than 10". The launch is East off Harvey Lake Rd just North of M59.

There is Silver lake in Pontiac that is smaller on one side and has a public boat launch. We have seen and caught some decent bass out of that lake in the past. There is a canal that goes to the other side where it's a lot bigger and choppier from the pleasure boaters.

Union Lake has some awesome panfishing, but can get a bit crowded at times as well. When you say smaller lake with a boat launch, what size boat? Silver lake is best with a small boat, also there is trout lake in bald mountain rec that has a launch for a smaller boat, and there are a lot of bass in there as well.

You could always try orchard lake, there are bass, pike, and some decent panfish in it.

If your out on the weekends and get out bright and early you can beat boaters/party'ers and fish around the islands for a mixed bag of table fair. ;)

Here's the DNR's launch website
You can get maps there

You could try east & west graham lakes in the bald mountain rec area up by lake orion. Great large mouth fishing and there is a small creek connecting the two lakes. You do need a state park sticker to fish there and plan on seeing the DNR while your there since they are over paid to check your fishing license 3 times in the same day:rant:. But still there is a nice dirt ramp, no houses on the lake and some decent pike in there too.
