Quick, Need help on Long Lake (or?) Kent county for kids

I'm at Duke creek campground in Kent couty and we have some little kids we want to take fishing. Long Lake is down the road, but I don't know anything about the area lakes and my brother is setting here withthe family and a bunch of poles ready to go as soon as I can find a place for him to go. He is used to me knowing where to go all the time, but I never go around here. ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!:):)

I do ok on long lake for bass. early in the season you can almost walk around the whole outside egde (just in the water) of the lake. The weeds are a little thick now, it would be better if you have a boat. Keep in mind, no motors (except trolling motors) on that lake. I would try some trout fishing at the campground you are at. I hear that creek holds browns. Other than that try lincoln lake or bass? lake. I believe its bass lake at the east end of 17 mile road. Maybe the name is wrong but I know there is a lake there.
