Help me decide, I have narrowed it down to the following 3 drop aways for hunting. If you have another suggestion please list and why.
1. G5 Expert II
2. Vapor Trail Limbdriver
3. Spot Hogg Whammy
Thanks

Still a fan of the Trophy Takers myself.
Part of that is after working with them so long I can set one up in my sleep though. Maybe it's just familiarity.

Something like this boils down to personal preferences. The G5 isa replica of the DMI and it's a great rest. The Limbdriver is also a great rest using a different actuator point- the limb. The Whammy is a rest that claims to have the longest "arrow" time on it's launcher. But alas, I use none of the above on a regular basis so my opinion wouldn't be fair as to which one is best. I personally use a QAD and a GKF TKO for my dropaway needs.

what are the reasons for narrowing down to those three? The percieved importance to me, may not be valuable to you.

I have the G5 and love it. I can't find anything wrong with it at all, simple, well built, quiet, easy to tune!!

Right now I'm using a Trophy Ridge Dropzone and it works great..
But think I'm going to give the Limb driver a test drive after hunting season...

Far as drop aways go, I would go with Trophy Ridge, Ultra Quad Rest, or The Bodoodle Doddle Drop.
I have installed three Ultra Quad for my buddies within the past month and they all love them. I personally shoot the Trophy ridge drop zone have never had a problem.

I personally use a drop zone and love it. Most of the people I shoot with however use a ripcord (seems like it might freeze up in cold wet weather) which is the reason I went with the trophy ridge.

QAD HD rest. I have used 2 of them on both my bows and I love em. Easy set up, and they have never failed me. Plus full containment, and you can slowly let the arrow down and the rest stays up :D

I voted other... My personal favorite is the Muzzy zero effect. It's ugly, that's the only reason I can think off not to use one.:D It's simple to set up, quite on the draw, tuff, full containment, fair price, excellent fletching clearance, no cords and last but not least the customer service is outstanding. Mark Land of Muzzy returns e-mail questions as fast as one could need.
Cobra Diamond Back.
(I shoot fingers with it too :D)

QAD Ultra of Rip Cord. Forget the Trophy Ridge... They produce a loud "click" thats impossible to silence.

I voted for other...I agree with the above post 100%. The Muzzy is a great rest, but my next rest will be the RipCord. That's what I'd vote for if it was there. I'm pretty sure my next bow will be a Bowtech and I don't think Muzzy has one for the new Bowtech's...yet anyways.

What bow are you going to be shooting it on?
I was a Trophy Taker Fanboy, there I said it, for years. After getting my first Binary Cam I went to the Limbdriver, and am going to switch my solo cam to one now as well. It is the easiest rest to set up, and you don't have any timing changes form the drop away cord pulling on your cable.

As stated previous, the VTLD is the easiest rest you could ever hope to set up and tune. Got mine working on a 1993 Hoyt SuperSlam. The cord does NOT get in the way, it is quiet and cradles the arrow rather nicely. You didn't mention what bow you were putting this rest on. I like it because you do not have to mess with the buss cables or cam timing. . .

Rip Cord!

ditto
I have one on my drenalin and love it!
I've also been playing with a quicktune 2100 on my pro3000 and find it to be a pretty good rest for the price. That said, it is getting replaced by weeks end with a another ripcord:D

I am shooting the Whipser Creek Stealth. Short ATA but very nice. Extremely quiet.
Thinking of the NAP Flipper Dropaway or the NAP 2100

I love my drop zone. Have had zero problems with it since I got it new about 5 years ago.
IF I were to go to a new drop away I would try the Limb Driver. I have heard many good things about it.
