I am not fishing it this year in protest that fall equinox is not until September 22, 15:44 UTC. Move the tournament to any weekend after then and I may reconsider. :evilsmile

I am gunna guess high teen's....

Last year it was 13 boats. Captains voted to have it winner take all. With so few boats, there was only 2 fish that qualified (52") anyways. Both captains should have gotten something.....

We are anticipating over 20 boats this year. And we will be paying both 1st and 2nd place this year. Last year all the participants voted to only payout for 1st place. The weather sounds as if it will be a nice weekend.
We have a nice dinner planned for Sunday afternoon too.

Hey UNREEL, you should give the tournament a try this year. What else is there to do, sit home on the couch and watch the luckless Lions???:(

HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL TOMORROW NIGHT @ HPYC FOR THE CAPTAINS MEEETING AND A FEW COLD SUDS!!!:):):)

Dave

Where will the weigh station be located this weekend?

Also, will you have a live tank there for those wishing to release their catch?

Congrats to Reel Lucky who got real lucky with a 52 7/8 37+ lb beauty winning the Fall Musky Showdown. Nice job Davie. We ended up going 10 for 18ish and landing the heaviest fish ever caught aboard the Bandit.

Class group of Muskie fishermen participated. 1st place boat took a trophy and should be congratulated. 18 boats participated and as close as I can figure, between 150-175 muskies were boated during this event, all but one was released to fight again.

Mike and Dave put on a great event, to those who fished, nice work. To the first place guys, you got a hog, the head of that fish looked like a football, I would hang it to, if I could not get her going.:D

That fish was caught during the showdown by the weather bouy it wasn't long enough to enter the lenght was 51 1/4 it's weight was 46.5 pounds. There is a picture of it at Lakeside tackle located on jefferson and 10 mile in st.clair shores. From what i heard it is a monster. And i do believe it was released after the picture was taken.

Thank you so much for that information I will have to take a run over there and have a look at 'her'. It has to be a female...glad to hear that she was released to fight another day.
