Very IMPORTANT L.S.C.W.A. Meeting

There is a very important LSCWA meeting coming up on Wednesday, August 20th.
This is the meeting where we hold our annual elections.
There are two members from this site running for a seat on the Board of Directors.
I strongly endorse Paul Driggers and Ted Stehney to fill these positions. I feel with their knowledge, tournament experience and dedication to the sport and science of walleye fishing they will be a “breath of fresh air” to the LSCWA.
I strongly encourage any members from this site who are LSCWA members in good standing to attend this meeting and vote for these fine gentlemen.
There are also other members from this site running for other positions as you will see on the ballots.

Thanks Curt! If elected Fresh fish for everyone! LOL I look foreward to becoming more involved with the club as well as our states resources. After listening to last months speaker talking about the cormorant situtation I felt that it is about time that I start making some calls and writing some letters to our states elected officials with how I feel as an outdoorsman about how they are representing me and my values. And I usually have alot to say...Hope to see more fottage from Wheatley at the meeting (hint, hint Keith) Since I can't get over there at least I can hopefully live it through Keith and the rest of you steelhead chasers.

Does this mean that I can attend a meeting that doesn't involve people telling folks to SHUT UP??? Okay, I suppose I meant "BE QUIET!!!!" :lol:. I've only been to one meeting as a guest of Mr. Fisheater at the old club. My 1st impression was good, except for the above mentioned issue;). I will be joining this year, though I do not know how many meetings I can make while traveling. Slick's car pool would help:lol:!

There is also the Executive Board which is the President, V-P, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, and Membership Secretary. Any change in one of those positions is a major change. As witness to this remember the change in the office of President.

Even with these changes....We must still give the people speaking and those wanting to listen...some respect and try to keep our conversations down some in volume !! Hopefully if we move to a bigger hall this problem will not be as bad!! Now it is nice that we can always move over to the other side of the hall to the Bar and carry on conversations there!!

Right. It is a monthly meeting for the entire group. Sadly, some of the people think that it is meant to be a private party for them and their buddies. A lot of people do come to find out what is happening and to try to pick up a few fishing tips.
