How were the weeds and water clarity over there, and are the fish going for the big straight baits ?

Weeds were very few, water was off colored just perfect, and yes they were hitting Lapmasters and nilsmasters , brown was going yesterday, 2 and 20' on the boards and boat rods 4 and 30' hope this helps, there is a big patch of weeds before you get in tight, but once you get through its fine. I would of liked to of fished a little further east towards the puce but ran out of time, maybe thats where the bigs ones were hanging out.

Gotcha, I hope you have a big boat and an even bigger anchor. There calling for winds up to 30 knots in the morning, laying down to 15 - 25 knots later in the morning and afternoon. Saturday night they are predicting wind gusts of 35 knots. With that being said, why do they say the winds will be 15 - 25 knots. You know it won't be at the lower end of the scale, more like 22 - 25 knots.

We were fishing any where from 8 - 15' most fish were in a pocket in about 12' of water, I heard there was a 37 pounder caught the other day at the thames, caught on a nillsmaster, 49 inches big fishhhhh....
Thanks for the reply. This cold spell should bring them in. Kind of thought I might have been out to far that day.

Gotcha, remember fishing the Puce one year after Thanksgiving, with Captain T. We were perchin, 4 guys, about 5 hours and a gallon of minnows, results: 4 five gallon buckets of perch. Muskies must love that area with all the food available.
Rich brought home about a 120 pound doe tonight, took it right before dark in the Forrester area, she is hanging and cooling and will be taken care of after the golf tournament tomorrow . Had to do a little surgery on her tonight, nice lean deer. His buddy missed an 8 pointer!
See ya in the A.M.!

Mikey, soaked them all night in my special, top secret mairnade and devoured them tonight, except for a few for the "deer slayer", back straps are waiting for your return from the "DEEP" South, saved you a few.
Great golf outing, tell Wendy she did a great job. Had to pay dearly for all the celebrating on Tuesday morning. All in all, we had a great time.
Live like it's heaven on earth! It is!
