How do they fly past 20yards? I shoot NAP Razorbaks (2 blade heads) currently.

The Tricks are pretty impressive indeed.

I got a pack last season and played with them...Ok...all I really needed to do was screw them on and practice.

Identical POI as my field points out to 80 yards.

It was as if I was shooting field points.

I was concerned about the size of the heads to start.
The 4th blade makes a ferocious wound channel and more than makes up for the heads small-ish stature...judgment based on the single doe I shot with them.

Blade angle concerned me a little as well. I prefer the longer 3:1 ratio cut on contact heads in principle but it took me a LOT of messing around to get my Magnus Stingers to tune proper adn anything over 280-285fps has severe wind planing issues no matter what I did.

I shot a doe with my normal setup and took a HARD quartering shot with the Tricks into the carcass...the arrow blasted through severing the spine very near the neck on the way...I was very impressed.

I contend the smaller size couple with the nearly identically sized 4 blades make for a very stable shooting shooting head and the detriment usually associated with the steep blade angle is offset adn negated by the sharpness of the blades as well as the thickness and strength of the steel.

In short...they rock.

Nice review Steve...be curious to see the wound channel pics from this season.

+1 for the Tricks, they are an awsome BH.

Kelly, what kind of speeds were you shooting them? I am using Rage 2 blades, but for blind hunting with shoot thru mesh, I need a good fixed blade. Have been shooting the Nitrons very well but would also like to try the tricks. Shooting in the 295 range + or -

Well I just placed an order for the new Razortricks. Hopefully they fly as well as the regular tricks. I will start my own thread though.

Low 290s last season.
I've shot them from the Firecat this year though with the same results and that one's running 318-320.

I love the slick tricks. Most of my blood trails with the deer ive shot with them have been very short. Longest trailing job was 150ish yards for me...Good shot, but a strong will to live. This doe i took ran into a marsh. The further we went, the deeper the water became. The deeper the water became the harder it became to find blood on cattails. So i looked down into the water, and much to my surprise the water was blood red, and i followed a water blood trail. In my mind thats a massive amount of blood loss to be able to follow it in the water.

As for flight, they fly right with my field tips. couldnt ask for anything more from them

I have been shooting Slick Tricks for over 6 years back when most people never even heard of them, and they were available only on-line through Gary (the owner).
I have made a lot of my hunting buddies believers, and they have since switched to Tricks.
They are simply the best overall broadhead I have ever shot, and I have shot a lot of the long time favorites like Muzzy, Thunderhead, and Wasp. The accuracy with these heads stills amazes to this day.
