Detroit river pike

I have been on the river in a couple of weeks and was thinking about hunting so pike . If the water has cooled down into the mid to low sixties , the pike should be up looking to fatten up . I am planning on trying behind the crossdike by sugar . Let me know what anyone else knows or thinks about this .:rolleyes:

Definatly good idea. I trolled the southside along the wall with a #11 Brown trout rapala every day for a week. Must have got 10 a day. Nothing too big, biggest was 23 inches, but it was fun. I dont care what it is as long as im catching something. By the wy this was about a month ago that i did this.

There are definately pike around and near the area you mention.

Just a little heads up but the Michigan Duck Season opens on the 12th of October and the Canadian Duck Season opened September 28th. As you know that area is popular with duck hunters on both side of the boarder.
