Caught some beauties last weekend on a private lake near our property. Those dudes sure were tasty!:)

Those are some nice gills!
I caught a few that large in Florida when I lived there, none that big up here though. They sure are a blast on a UL with 4lb test.

can someone confirm if those are redear sunfish??? I was just curious...Nope, not Red Ears. POSSIBLY Green Sunfish but they look like BullGills to me.

Black Eared Green sunfish maybe beauties anyways who cares what they are:lol:There something I havent caught much of this year FISH:rolleyes:
Upon closer inspection they look more like bluegills

Very nice! I love private property fishing! The fish get big!
Got about 4 pumpkinseed around 10" Friday. Released them tho.

Wow, whatever they are, they're some monster sunnies!
I think bluegills or hybrids. Green sunfish are shaped more like rock bass: bigger mouth, not as flat.

Definitely blue x green hybrids.

yeah, those are hybrids, but it's not like that's anything to be ashamed of. :) Congrats on the catch, I have no doubt those were very tasty
