What about Gander Mountain on Miller and Linden roads?? That's definetly Flint. KD Outdoors is ALL the way down into Waterford on M-59. Not anywhere near Flint.

Just east of flint, north of I-69 on M-24 about4-5 miles is Starlight Archery. Great Group of people in there. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

It's only a little over 30 miles. That's not too bad. I drive 40 miles to get there and it's worth it.

KD Outdoors is ALL the way down into Waterford on M-59. Not anywhere near Flint.

Guns and Bows in Morrice. A little burg about 30 miles west of Flint off I-69. Has proable one of the best bow mechanics in the state. They handle Hoyt, Matthews, Reflex, & Mission. Give them a try, you won't be dissapointed.

I've never walked out of Hick's being disappointed. It's a few miles further, but my satisfaction is worth the extra 10 minutes.

I have gone to Starlight, Browns, and Hicks.

My opinion is go to Browns

I tried the others a few times with the same results:rant:

Cannot go wrong with Browns no matter who does the work or answers the questions for you.

I would go to Hicks. If you have any issue, let them know. It's mostly family there. I posted about my Bowtech yesterday. They called Bowtech before they caled me.

I took both of my bows along with my son's and wife's bow there this year to have a little work done and also had them fit my 9yr old with her new bow - the guys there were great and took the time to make my family feel good about being there and not rushed.

i have had good/great help with eds in clio. when it was time to buy new bow last year i went to hicks, couldnt get any assistance at all, staff was to busy talkin and tellin jokes behind the counter, after 20 minutes of this nonsense of being told be right with you(i was the only one in the archery dep.) i left and took my money to kd sports. with the service and friendly atmosphere i will be doing all my future archery business with them. figured i would stop in at hicks 2 weeks ago to buy a liscence and waited 10 minutes at the front counter/checkout for anyone to take my money. they must be rich to go about business this way. as for gander mountain in flint, last year i witnessed a whole bunch of bows hit the floor from there overhead rack display when 1 of there employees was getting a bow down for a customer. he just picked them up without inspecting the limbs or cams and put them back on the rack. i walked out of there knowing i wouldnt spend my money on a bow that might have takin a 6-7ft drop without being inspected.
