Elk Lake - Gladwin County

Anyone familiar with this lake? I am heading up Saturday for a week of R&R and have never fished this lake before. I dont even know what species it has to offer. Just looking for some tips / advice.

I have fished this lake a little bit in the winter, seen a couple bluegills with the aqua view, but nothing really. I think there are a few bass and northern in there, havent really had too much luck on the lake though. Good luck

I'm heading up to Gladwin next wkend, wheres Elk lake at?

It is on M-30 south of west branch, not sure how many miles but its on the west side of the road

We have a cabin a couple of lakes over, fished it years ago, locals still say pike and gills, used to have rainbow in the late sixties early seventies, I would go up 30 a little further to george lake except it gets crowded on weekends or hit it late ...lake four back south off of 30 over to surgar springs has been decent,,,JMO the better times were just sitting in elk lake tavern with a bar burger and cooollllllllddddddd beers LOL Dont know if it is even there anymore
