I have a Yellow Jacket for broadheads and the Monster Bag (I think that's the name) for field points. Both of these "eat" inserts like Charlie Weiss eats Pasta Primavera.
The Yellow Jacket is destroyed and I had to put it out with the garbage this morning.
The Monster Bag is nearly impossible to yank out the arrows without impaling myself or ripping the skin off my index finger.
Can I have your suggestions for targets you use and like?
Thanks
Due

I have a Gander Mountain Broadhead Only target...it's grey with white spots....doesn't really have a model number. Works well with broadheads but don't shoot it with fieldpoints!! Almost impossible to pull out! Cost was $40 I think? I just purchased my second Black Hole layered foam target. About $40....$20 cheaper than the similar sized Block targets. It works great and lasts a long time. Had good luck with the first one that lasted 5-6 years of field point shooting and some broadhead shooting. Would have liked to try the big expensive Block 4x4 but figured for only $40, I couldn't go wrong with the Black Hole again.

The magic stop field point target is great. You can easily pull out arrows with just two fingers. If your tips are a little wider then the shaft of the arrow it will stick a little but it is still easy to remove.

For broadheads only I'd look into the King Series targets. They can be easily identified by the Crown on the face. As for field points I'd recommend the Morrel Outdoor Range Bag. If you want a target that will do both and last for awhile, the Rinehart 18-1 is the way to go.;)

I made my own target this year, it was very simple. I took some burlap and doubled it over. I then sowed all the edges after stuffing it with cut up carpet and old clothes. With my recurve I can penetrate about 4 inches and with my compound about 6. Pulling the arrows is pretty darn easy. The target for the most part is self healing.
If you have some burlap, old carpet and/or old clothes, a target can be made cheaply, easily, and relatively quickly. Have fun!
