Just happened to have the TV on while getting ready for work and the Banjo Minnow infomercial is on with Babe Winkleman.

Just curious is this "snake oil" or does it actually work in real life like the commercial?

Just wondering, LOL

You know I watched the same thing on TV in June. And I ordered two kits for my birthday. I have fished with them several times and have not been skinked yet! I am actually really impressed! I would recommend them!

I bought them last summer. I actually really like them, they have a really good action if you work them right. I have caught alot of fish with them. I have never been skunked when I use them.

I think they are awesome. I catch LM, SM, Crappie, and even a couple Bluegill.

They are very nice if you are sight fishing for pike IMHO.

My buddy bought them a few years back and they did pretty good. I'll stick with a Slug-go though. We laughed our ***** of when we caught fish with the Banjo though.

I've heard that you have to turn your back to the water to tie them on your line. ;)

They could only make the product better if the deliverence song was played by a bango in the background while fishing the Bango Minnow.

The Banjo minnow catches fish, but not worth buying. IMO your better off buying sluggos, bass assassins, senkos or any other soft plastic worm/minnow bait and getting some quality hooks to go with it. A few of the downfalls on the banjo minnow is the weight of the smaller sized baits which makes them very difficult to get much casting distance. I also dislike corkscrew attachment method, they say the fish instinct makes them take the bait by the head every time, i can tell you with 100% certainty this is not true which results in many missed strikes and lost baits. The snagless rigging technique with them is basically worthless and the hooks provided leave much to be desired. Overall, not nearly as bad as many of the other infomercial scams like the flying lure or helicopter lure, but still not worth getting excited about.

My buddy swears by them. I have a hard time fishing them slow enough. With patience they will produce. All i caught off them was a carp! Saw my buddy pull a 13" brown trout out of the white river last fall with one. :dizzy:

PS- I had the biggest fish of my life on with the flying lure back about 13 years ago on the sag river. Bigger than any salmon i ever seen.:yikes:
