I believe you're trying to tie a bunch of unrelated items and using it for political convenience. Last I check Ford, GM and the rest of the private sector are the decision makers of where they choose to put their facilities.

The forefathers knew the importance of diplomacy and America exists today because of our close ties with other nations and of course as our strength grew we were able to reciprocate.

So why are they not a major part of the war we fight now? Soliders are dying becuase they lack the proper equitment to defend themselves from IED's. Why hasnt the current administration gone to the big three to get what the soliders need instead of going to small private investors (their friends) who cant handle the capicity. Wouldnt our economy in Michigan be a little better if the big three had a couple huge goverment contracts to send some vehicles to the war? A lot more people would have jobs. The "dems" are not making the current policy or the policy or the last 7 1/2 years that have brought this counrty to its knee's. So soon Conservatives forget that over the last decade they had control of Washington (house and senate) and have made the policies that are affecting us at the current state of disaster. Why does everything have to be about what party you belong to? Why cant we just do what is right for everyone in this country, whether Democrat or Republican who cares if it is right for us as americans.

Seems to me the doors have been left WIDE open since the Republicans took control.

Take the blinders off man! Neither party wants to hurt the illegals feelings and both parties are fawning all over them so they can get their votes later.

I wish we had people in charge who did away with English as a second language in schools, made illegal entry into this country punishable by every law written about it and who got rid of the need and expense of having everything printed in the United States in two languages!

No one who I can think of when the Republicans ran the House, Senate and White House did squat to stop the giving free government handouts to the illegal invaders of our country.

Yeah, I guess it's far better to piss away $2,000,000,000.00 of OUR hard earned money every two weeks to some sandpit of a country than to spend it on our own people! :dizzy:

The border has been open for free access for many years with blind eyes looking on form BOTH sided of the party line. I agree with what you had to say about shoring up our borders and enforcing the laws on the books. If you or i were to cross the border of Mexico illegally, we would be thrown in a mexican jail, pronto. Why is it our representatives form either affiliation are unwilling to do the dirty work. Well i will tell you. They are afraid of the backlash to their party. If BOTH parties were to announce that the free ride is over, the message would be heard and Democrats and Republicans alike would look a whole lot better than they do now.:rant:

yes the auto companies played a vital role in the mobilazation of WWII. The world has change quite a bit since then. The possibility of such a large scale conventional war is very unlikely today. When you consider the tehnology of existing weapon systems and the big nuke hanging over our heads, the chance that a war would get to the production needs of WWII is unlikely.

Because i am for our country winning the war.
Because i am for supporting our volunteer army.
Because i am for cheaper energy costs so america will strengthen our economy - then the dollar will follow.
Because i do not trust Oboma, Hillary, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry.........
Because i am not afraid to show my patriotism to MY country.
Because it's not a black white issue to me, its who more prepared to do the job.
Because i am not cought up in the holier than thou attitude all the koolaid media types are portraying Obama out to be.
