So after having a rough weekend with Jenn going under the knife on thrus and her being on the couch for the past 3 days she wanted to get out and do some fishing (sitting and watching since she cant pick anything up)
I packed up the car and forgot that I only had some 3 week old corn left and some old smelly bird seed (boiled) that was in the bottom of the frig. None the less we were off to the park and Jenn was just happy to be out of the house.
We got set up around 6:00 pm and not a thing was moving. I did not have much bait so no baiting was done just method feeders and hair rigs. (Ghetto Coppter rig too more to come)
At ten to 7 we got our first run on the ghetto coppter rig with about a 10# fish on 4 corn hair rig
8:30 2nd run and a fish on method with scopex 6# fish
8:45 3rd run that was a miss on method with scopex
9:15 4th run hair rig corn/foam/corn=4# fish
9:35 5th run rig corn/foam/corn=Miss
9:50 6th rig corn/foam/corn 6# fish
10:00pm or so 7th run on rig corn/foam/corn again.
As the sun dropped the fishing picked up, but I had dumped most of my bait out for my duck friends and Jenn was getting tired so I packed up and we came home.
All in all it was not a bad night, Hope to get some more fishing in before the king run starts. Pop ups were the ticket tonight went 4-7 or so. Had alot of drops on the pop up, must have felt the small spitshot.
