What the hot new bass bait for '08?

Here's what I've been the most impressed with...
http://happytimehandpours.com/NewWebsiteFiles/Product_Photos/harrybeev.jpg

Used to use Yamamoto 5" twin tailed hulas a lot, not anymore. This one's the real deal. Here's where you can get them: http://happytimehandpours.com/index.html It's a 4.2" Harry Beev in the Harry Melon color. I've done well with both the 3.5" and 4.2"...only tried the one color so far.

Looks like happytime is coming up with some interesting baits... still think he needs to come up with a new name for the company though! :D Super nice guy to deal with though.

:yeahthat:

Everything I have caught so far this year has been slow retrieve as well. Usually by now, I am catching them on spinner baits in shallower water where I fish, but they still seem to be a bit deeper.

I haven't caught a spinnerbait fish since spring... not for lack of throwing them either... they get tossed at nearly every tournament I fish for at least 10-15 minutes... no strikes or follows gets the rod set down.

Catch many short fish on the 10" worm?
My post count is on a bad # so I needed to bump it up one real quick...

It's that time of year. 10" power worm texas rigged with a 1/2oz wieght. I fish clear deep lakes and the good fish have been coming out of 18-25' of water. Not many shorts on a worm that big. Pike like them too! Best colors for me have been motoroil/red flake and junebug. Like Waterfowl said, fish slow. Also had some success on a Chigger Craw rigged on a plain football jig, fished in the same depths.

seems like i get about as many bites as with any other T-Rig soft plastic i woudl throw..... I get nips that i assume are shorts, but most fish i do get are keepers... not necessarily big ones, but keepers. just got a bunch of zoom ol' monsters in the mail today ;)

Drop shotted 5" finesse worm

I've gotten few on a spinnerbait this summer, but the ones you get are a cut above the rest.

i'll wager that any fish i weigh in will probably come on this bait.

You're on! LOL!!!

"the one".. that would imply i would catch at least one..... "any" would still leave open the high probability that i won't catch any:lol:
