What rest do you fine women and gentleman think is the best? I personnally use a drop zone and have never had a problem once, however I was asked by a freind which rest is the best for $. I told him QAD was my thought. But Im kinda up in arms because what everyone likes about these rest is what I dislike (top arrow capture). So if you guys could let me know what you think.

QAD HD for me. I tried the old school flippers for a long time back in teh late 80's early 90's:lol: then went to a trophy taker drop away and had some issues. So I tried the Qad HD and have never looked back. I choose it over the RipCord because of the slow let down feature. Great rest and It has never failed me once, I shoot every other day. Lots of guys Love the WB and some day i may give a try, but for now its the QAD HD for me

QAD HD for me.
Same here...only had it a year but it's a simple rest that makes sense!

I haven't tried the Ripcord but the QAD is a nice dropaway. I would call it a "hunting" rest though because of the full containment. If it wasn't for that fact, I wouldn't promote it as a GREAT fallaway. There are better rests out there that unfortunately don't have the full containment feature.

I will never say anything I have is the best, but I will tell ya what equipment I have and what works for me. I have a Muzzy Zero Effect and a ripcord. Both great rests. I had the muzzy on, but it broke one evening when I shot at a deer last fall. I contacted muzzy, told them the problem, even sent them a picture. The tech I talked to said it was something he had nevere seen before, and sent me the replacement part free of charge. I am still debating whether or not to put the muzzy back on. this is the second bow I have had one on and the first time I have had any problem with either of them. When that broke, I went and bought a ripcord, which is still currently on my bow. I think it is a nice rest, the way you can "cock" the rest in the ready position (like the QAD) is a plus. Both are easy to install and simple to tune as well.
I have not shot the QAD, but here it is a great rest as well, other popular rests are the trophy taker rests and the whisker biscuit.

This is the easiest to install and tune rest out there. No need to serve or time a cord into the buss cables. Offers the most support as well. Used it all last season and there were no arrow capture issues. Look hard at this one...

QAD HD has worked well for me,WB is also a good one but just don't trust something always in contact with the arrow.

I put a rip-cord on my new Katera and it works great. I dont use the top bar as I would have to turn the bow almost upside down for the arrow to come off even without the bar.

I like the TM Hunter. As long as the cock vane is in the right place, you don't have to worry about anything.
It's probably the best and easiest rest there ever was. I've have been using it for years and it has never failed.

I tried the ripcord last year when my zero effect wouldn't drop away fast enough for my new setup and the rip cord was loud. It smacked the shelf when it dropped causing some noise.

I have the Rip Cord and haven't had any issues with it what so ever. Very easy to tune, very accurate and I have not experienced any noise issues I couldn't effectively fix with felt on the risor shelf. Would not hesitate to put one on my next bow but I want to try the Trophy Taker Extreme FC as I have also had good luck with TT in the past.

I love my trophy taker drop away for the money. It works fantastic and havent had one problem with it in 3 or 4 years now. Think i paid $60 for it.

The Ricord also is a full containment rest so between the two of them that is a push.

Huh, never heard that before. I shoot a Ripcord and have never experienced that before. I did put some felt on the prongs though just as a precautionary measure. Never had an issue with it but didn't want to have an issue arise at a bad time.
