Hello everyone. Just wondering what you guys think about single pin adjustable sights compared to 3n4 pin sights for bow. Pros and cons and what you personally use? I use a Trophy Ridge single pin that i have had success with but was wondering what everyone else thinks?

I use the trophy ridge single pin as well, and love it. I have not shoot multiple pins for about 12 years so I cant really compare. But I Love my set up and it works Great for me.

I use a single pin for everything.

I tried to go back to a 5 pin CJ Pro earlier this year and there's no way.
Sight picture is too cluttered.

Pin or Dot on a scope for 3D, Spots, field and hunting.

I use a rather obscure sight setup for hunting.

It's a Savage Quick Click Ranger.
It has a speed adjustment so when I chrono the bow I can set the "speedometer".
I manually sight the bow in at 20 yards and the speedometer compensates the range for a pre etched markings for every yard out to 70.

Makes it really easy;)

You can out whatever scope or head that has a 10-32 rod on it.
I use an Impact Jumbo Cosmic and have been very happy with it.
Going on year 4 and I rarely keep ANYTHING archery related that long:lol:

i have a four pin. but honestly never have set the top three.
my bottom is set to twenty yards so a little high takes me to thirty and a little low to twenty. since i concider it unethical to hunt beyond that range i need only one pin.
i must also add that i hunt with a 26 year old bear two wheeler, so flatness of tragectory these new 300plus fps bows shoot should pretty much negate the need for multiple pins.

There are pro's and cons' to both sights, but here is my opinion.
I shot a 3 pin sight set at 20,30,40 yards for nearly 20 years.
In those 20 years I never used the 40 yard pin in a hunting situation. I only used the 30 yard pin twice in 20 years therefore I primarily use 1 pin anyway, but have a cluttered sight picture to deal with.

I switched to a 1 pin HHA sight and love it. My groups have tightened, and it has a clear unobstructed sight window now with 1 pin.

My sight is adjustable if needed. I set it at 25 yards, and can shoot 0 to 32 yards without needing to adjust.
In my opinion the pro's outweigh the con's when it comes to a 1 pin sight with the speed of today's bows.

Single pin set up at 25 yards has me in the boiler room at 10 yards and 30. and I have practice with it up to 40 yards. with one pin I do not have to worry about the wrong pin being used.

Unless you are a competition shooter, I would stick to a good fiber optic single pin. Most of your shots on game will be 22 yards or less, unless you hunt the expanses of the West. More pins will clutter your sight picture, you in the heat of the moment choose the wrong pin, and frankly it is just more to tinker with that is unnecessary. Just my thoughts as a hunter and not a competition shooter.:)

Todays compounds are capable of getting out to 25 yards without the need for a 2nd pin. If you stick to that yardage or less then one pin is all you need.;)
