Need some help on this one! Caught a large pike out of the grand today and as i netted it and brought it in, i noticed a very nasty looking area right above his anal fin, probably the size of my palm. I didnt want to touch the fish so i put it in my livewell and would like to report it to dnr. Anybody know the right number to call? Its way too extreme to be just a lamprey mark. Thnx

The easiest thing to do is to go the the DNR website and find the list of fisheries contacts for the DNR. Then, find the Fisheries Biologist for your area and you will see his or her name, office phone number, and eMail address.

Take a picture of the area of the fish, send the digital copy to the biologist for your area and wait.

Judging by the title of your thread you must think that it is VHS. If so, then there is no reason to be afraid to touch the fish.
